Neo Artifacts Banner Types Explained: Standard, Limited, Reruns And Weapon/Artifact Banners

Neo Artifacts Artwork 1

Neo Artifacts uses a clear two-track banner system built around a standard pool and a rotating limited lineup, with the global version making a key distinction between which ticket types access each.

The standard banner

The standard banner in Neo Artifacts is the permanent, always-available pool containing every non-limited SSR Artifacter that has been released up to the current version. It never expires and does not rotate, making it the safest place to spend free tickets and the main source of off-banner SSRs you might receive when losing a 50/50 on a limited pull.

The standard banner is the primary destination for standard tickets earned through daily missions, login rewards, and events. It is not a priority for spending premium tickets, which are better saved for limited banners.

Limited (rate-up) banners

Limited banners feature one or two specific SSR Artifacters at an elevated rate for a fixed window of time, typically two to four weeks per banner cycle. These are the banners that house the strongest and most visually distinct characters in Neo Artifacts, and they are the primary goal for most players’ pull saving.

On global, limited banners are locked behind premium tickets only — free standard tickets do not grant access. This is one of the biggest differences between the CN and global versions: CN players had more avenues to earn premium pulls as F2P, while the global version restricts free pulls strictly to the standard pool.

Each limited banner runs independently, with its own pity counter separate from both the standard banner and any other active limited banners. Spreading pulls across multiple active limited banners at the same time resets your progress on both and is the single most common mistake new players make.

CN vs. global limited banner differences

The CN version of Neo Artifacts uses a spark mechanism rather than a strict 50/50 coin flip, giving players a cleaner path to the featured character with a higher SSR base rate of ~2.5%. Global replaces that with a lower rate (~1.8%), a hard 50/50, and restricts free pulls to standard tickets only — a combination that makes the global version measurably more expensive for F2P players chasing limited characters.

Rerun banners

Rerun banners bring previously released limited Artifacters back into the gacha rotation for a second window, typically months after their original run. They work identically to the original limited banner in terms of rates, pity structure, and ticket requirements, but allow players who missed the first run a second chance at the character.

Rerun banners are important to plan around because:

  • Players who lost their 50/50 on the original run carry a guaranteed win into the rerun if the game transfers guarantees across reruns — confirm this in-game as it is banner-specific.
  • New players who joined after the character’s original release get their first realistic chance to obtain them without spending at extreme rates on the standard banner.
  • Rerun timing on global is expected to follow the CN precedent of roughly 3–6 months between an original limited run and its first rerun, though Dragonest has not published a confirmed rerun schedule for global yet.

Equipment and artifact banners

Neo Artifacts features an equipment system where Artifacters can be geared with items that modify their stats and skill effectiveness, tied to the game’s broader “freeform progression” design philosophy. Based on the CN version and early global coverage, dedicated equipment or relic-slot banners are expected as part of the gacha ecosystem — these work similarly to weapon banners in other tactical gacha titles.

Equipment banners typically feature:

  • Exclusive gear pieces tied to specific SSR Artifacters that amplify their kit beyond what standard equipment achieves.
  • Separate pity and ticket requirements from character banners, meaning you are spending an entirely separate resource pool to fully kit out a limited Artifacter.
  • Reduced rates compared to character banners in most gacha titles, making equipment pulls a significant additional investment on top of the character itself.

Pulling on an equipment banner for a character you do not already own is generally not recommended, as the gear piece is designed specifically around that character’s kit and has limited utility on others.

How to decide which banner to pull on

With multiple banner types running simultaneously and premium tickets being the gating resource, having a clear priority order prevents wasted pulls.

  • Priority 1 — Current limited banner: If you want the featured Artifacter and have enough premium tickets to reach pity or 50/50 safety, pull here first.
  • Priority 2 — Limited rerun: If you missed a must-have character on their original run and the rerun is live, treat it with the same priority as a new limited banner.
  • Priority 3 — Equipment banner: Only pull here if you already own the featured character and their signature gear provides a substantial gameplay upgrade in content you actively play.
  • Priority 4 — Standard banner: Use free standard tickets here during downtime between limited banners; never spend premium tickets on the standard pool.

Saving at least 160 premium pulls before committing to any limited banner guarantees you walk away with the featured character regardless of 50/50 outcomes, which is the safest long-term strategy for F2P players in Neo Artifacts.
