Does Aniimo Support Cross-Play and Cross-Save? What We Know So Far

Aniimo Artwork 5

Aniimo is built as a cross-platform game, and the developers have already confirmed both cross-play and cross-save for the full release, though these features are limited or missing in current beta phases.

Aniimo will support cross-play between Xbox Series X|S, PC, and mobile, letting players on different devices group up in the same world.  The Xbox Store page lists “Xbox cross-platform multiplayer” and “Xbox cross-platform co-op” among its capabilities, confirming that Xbox and PC users can play together.  A cross-play FAQ round-up also notes that “there will be crossplay between platforms” with co-op sessions of up to four players.

However, cross-play is not fully enabled in every test build. A beta-focused breakdown clarifies that early PC-centric tests do not yet offer cross-play, and certain phases are limited to specific platforms for stability reasons. That means you should expect full cross-play at launch, but patchy or phased cross-play support during development.

Cross-Play Overview

FeatureFull Release (Planned)Betas / Tests (So Far)
Cross-playYes: Xbox, PC, and mobile can play together. Limited: some tests focus on PC and Xbox only, and certain phases have no cross-play at all.
Co-op sizeLikely up to 4 players in co-op, plus larger online spaces. CBT builds already support small-party co-op and larger shared hubs.

Does Aniimo Support Cross-Save and Cross-Progression?

Yes. Aniimo is explicitly designed with synchronized progress across platforms once the game is officially released. The official FAQ states: “Once the game is officially released, you’ll be able to play on PC, Xbox, and mobile devices, with your progress synchronized across all platforms.” A release hub reiterates that “saving should work across platforms,” so you can use the same save on mobile, PC, and Xbox without losing progress.

During test phases, the situation is different. A beta FAQ analysis explains that cross-platform progress sync is disabled in early tests, so if you switch between PC and mobile during some betas, your data won’t be synchronized yet. This is normal: developers often keep cross-save off in closed betas because accounts are temporary and progress is wiped anyway.

Cross-Save and Progression Summary

QuestionAnswerSource
Will my progress carry between PC, Xbox, and mobile?Yes, after launch your progress will be synchronized across all platforms.
Can I use the same account across devices?Yes, Aniimo is built for cross-platform play and shared account progression.
Is cross-save active in current closed betas? No; cross-platform progress sync is disabled in early tests.
Will beta progress carry into the full game? No; betas are flagged as data-wipe tests, so progression is reset before launch.

What We Know So Far (And What’s Still Unclear)

Right now, the clearest promises are:

  • Full release will have cross-play between Xbox, PC, and mobile.
  • Full release will have cross-save / cross-progression so you can move seamlessly between devices.
  • Betas may restrict these features and will not preserve your progress.

What’s not fully detailed yet is the exact account system, whether Aniimo will use a proprietary Kingsglory account, a platform link-only setup, or an external ID system for progress sync. None of the official FAQ entries or press materials break down the login flow beyond promising synchronized progress across PC, Xbox, and mobile after launch.

For now, if you plan to main Aniimo across multiple platforms, the safest assumption is: create one account, stick with it everywhere, and expect cross-play plus cross-save to be core launch features even if they’re inconsistent during testing.
