Star Savior Tier List: Best Saviors To Build For Launch
Star Savior’s launch roster already has clear stand-out units that dominate both early story and late-game PvE. This tier list focuses on who to prioritise for levelling, gear, and resources if you are just starting out or coming out of a reroll session.
How this tier list works
Most community lists rank Saviors from SS (top) to C (lowest) based on overall power, flexibility, and performance across multiple modes. The names below are compiled from early JP/KR tier lists, global launch write-ups, and player testing, so expect some shifts as more content and balance patches arrive.
Star Savior roles and attributes:
- Roles include Defender, Striker, Ranger, Caster, Assassin, and Supporter, which broadly map to tanks, DPS, and supports.
- Attributes such as Sun, Moon, Star, Order, and Chaos give elemental strengths and weaknesses that matter more in late-game content.

Launch tier list overview
High-priority picks from multiple community sources:
SS-tier Saviors (must-build picks)
Community lists repeatedly flag these units as “national power level” because they combine high damage with strong utility.
- Luna: AoE-focused Caster who clears waves quickly and controls crowds, ideal for story and farming.
- Lydia: Ranger with wide-area attacks and debuffs that make bosses and elites easier to kill.
- Kira: Assassin that manipulates targeting and turn order, making her a go-to boss killer.
- Asella (often listed as Acela): Versatile Striker who shines in both AoE and single-target fights.
- Smile: Ranger with strong single-target damage and defence reduction, letting your whole team hit harder.
If you have any combination of these, they should be your first candidates for full gear sets, skill upgrades, and team slots in most content.
S-tier and A-tier Saviors (core supports and fillers)
Even if you miss the absolute top picks, Star Savior has several excellent S-tier supports and tanks that enable weaker DPS units.
- Serpent: Premium Supporter who mixes healing with damage mitigation and debuffs, making difficult fights much safer.
- Harley: Durable Defender that buffs allies while soaking hits, ideal for early game story walls.
- Lug and Dana: High-value damage dealers and buffers/debuffers that improve boss clear times.
- Lily: Caster who combines shielding and attack debuffs, offering both protection and crowd control.
- Carmen, Charles, Epindel, Tanya, and Frey: Frequently rated just below the top tier but still excellent for most accounts, with Frey in particular being a strong sustain option even when distributed freely.
A-tier options like Lacey, Trish, and Petra are worth building if they are your highest-rarity or most duped units, especially early on when having a fully geared team matters more than pure tier placement.
As global balance patches arrive, keep checking updated lists and discussions on sites like LDPlayer, Vortex Gaming, and APKFami, as well as the r/StarSavior subreddit, to see which Saviors rise or fall in the meta.
