Zenless Zone Zero Crossplay Guide: Playing With Friends on Mobile and PC

Zenless Zone Zero Artwork 9

Zenless Zone Zero fully supports crossplay and cross-progression across mobile, PC, PS5, and Xbox, as long as everything is tied to the same HoYoverse account. This lets you swap devices freely and still queue up with friends regardless of platform.

How Crossplay and Cross-Save Work

Zenless uses your HoYoverse ID as the master account, not your device, so all progress (agents, pulls, purchases, settings) follows the account wherever you log in. Crossplay is enabled by default, meaning matchmaking and friend lobbies can mix PC, mobile, PlayStation, and Xbox players in the same lobby or arcade game.

For PS5 and Xbox, you must link your PSN or Microsoft account to your HoYoverse ID before playing seriously; once linked, that platform’s save can be continued on PC/mobile and vice versa. The main limitation is that progress does not transfer between different regional servers, so make sure you and your friends choose the same server when starting.

Linking Mobile and PC (and Console) Accounts

On PC and mobile, setup is straightforward: you just log into the same HoYoverse account on each device.

  • Start on any platform (PC or mobile) by creating/logging into a HoYoverse ID.
  • On another platform, choose “Log in with existing HoYoverse ID” at the title screen and enter the same credentials; your full save will appear.

For PS5 and Xbox, you additionally link your console account:

  • PS5: open ZZZ, go to Options → Account → User Settings, and use the Link button to connect the PSN account with your HoYoverse ID; from then on, progress can sync to PC/mobile.
  • Xbox: link your Microsoft account to your HoYoverse ID following the Xbox FAQ, then log in with that HoYoverse ID on PC/mobile/PS5 to share the save.

Adding Friends and Playing Together

To play with friends, you first need to add them via their UID, which is shared across platforms on the same server.

  • In-game, open the menu, click your profile name, then choose Inter-Knot Friends → Add Friends.
  • Enter your friend’s UID and send a request; once accepted, they appear in your friends list for invites.

Current multiplayer content is limited but does exist: you can invite friends or match with random players in certain arcade-style and Reckless Challenge modes. Inside those menus, select the “+” icon to invite friends directly or use “Match” to find crossplay partners automatically.

Best Practices for Smooth Crossplay

  • Pick the same server as your friends from the start; cross-save does not bridge different regions.
  • Always log in with your HoYoverse ID, not platform-only guest accounts, to avoid fragmenting progress.
  • Link PS5/Xbox correctly before playing too far, since unlinking and merging accounts later can be messy or impossible.

Once set up, Zenless Zone Zero’s crossplay and cross-progression let you grind story or endgame on PC, then seamlessly hop on mobile or console to join friends for arcade runs without losing a single pull or agent.
