Arknights Endfield UI Walkthrough – Every Menu and Subsystem Explained for New Players
Arknights Endfield throws a lot of menus at you early, but the UI follows a consistent logic once you understand how the main screen, Protos menu, and submenus connect. This walkthrough breaks down every major section so new players can navigate confidently from day one.

Main HUD and Pause Menu
When you’re in the field, the main HUD shows your minimap, quest tracker, party status, and quick access buttons like Protos, character menu, and settings. Pressing the pause button (Esc/Options) brings up a radial or panel-style menu that leads to most core systems, including Protos, settings, and return-to-title options.
Protos Menu: Global Systems Hub
After clearing the tutorial, you unlock the Protos menu from the pause screen, which acts as a dashboard for most major game systems. This includes tabs for exploration, operators, base/factory, gacha, store, codes, and platform/account settings.
Key Protos sections:
- Exploration / Map: Region maps, fast travel, and markers for resources and quests.
- Operators: Full roster management, leveling, skills, gear, and essence systems.
- Factory / AIC: Automation, production lines, and tech tree access through the AIC interface.
- Gacha: Banner list, pulls, and pity/gauge info.
- Store & Currency: Premium shop, bundles, and some resource conversions.
Operator and Team Management UI
The character menu shows your current squad, full operator list, and detailed pages for each operator. Tabs within an operator card cover stats, skills, promotion, gear, weapons, essences, and potential (dupe) info.
Typical operator sub-tabs:
- Attributes: Level, basic stats, damage type, and role.
- Skills: Active and passive skills, ranks, and upgrade options.
- Promotion / Elite: Tier upgrades that raise level caps and unlock new skills or passives.
- Gear & Weapons: Equipped pieces, weapon tuning, and stat summaries.
- Essence: Progression grid that adds passive bonuses after investment.
AIC, Factory, and Base Building UI
The AIC and factory menus manage base building, automation, and production lines. Within this interface you’ll find tabs for layout, production recipes, resource routing, and a tech tree that unlocks new structures and efficiencies.
Key AIC/factory sections:
- Layout: Place and move machines, conveyors, and storage.
- Production: Configure which items each machine crafts and view throughput.
- Tech Tree: Spend resources to unlock new units and efficiency boosts.
- Stock/Output: Check what’s being generated and where it’s stored or sold.
Gacha, Dailies, and System Menus
The gacha UI lists current banners, featured units, and displays pity/gauge progress and currency counts. The dailies/activities panel (often accessible from the HUD or Protos) tracks daily, weekly, and limited-time tasks, showing rewards and progress in a checklist format.
Settings and platform/account menus live under the gear icon from the pause or Protos screens, where you configure graphics, controls, audio, language, and redeem codes.
