Arknights Endfield Social Features Guide – Friends, Chat, and Block Functions

Arknights: Endfield’s social features are light but useful: you can add friends by UID, accept requests, and curate your experience with mute/block/report tools where your platform supports them. Most real chat still happens in external communities like Discord and Reddit.

Friends System

  • Unlocking friends:
    • You need to reach early-game progress (around level 2 / Valley Reboot completion) before the Friends menu becomes available.
  • How to add friends:
    • On the main screen, open the Menu → Friends button (top-right on mobile/PC).
    • Go to the Add Friends section and search by UID or in‑game name.
    • Send a request; once accepted, they appear on your Friends list.
  • How to share your UID:
    • Open your Profile (bottom-left portrait) and copy your UID with the file/copy icon next to it, then paste it to your friend.

Friends mainly serve for social connection and event objectives (e.g., “send 1 friend request” missions).

In-Game Chat and Where People Actually Talk

  • In-game chat:
    • At launch, Endfield doesn’t have a deep global chat lobby; discussion is limited and not the main way players communicate.
  • External communities:
    • Most players use the official Discord, the r/Endfield subreddit, and dedicated /vg/ generals for real-time chat, help, and team discussion.

If you want active strategy talk or LFG, plan to use Discord/Reddit rather than relying on in‑client chat.

Block, Mute, and Report Functions

Endfield itself offers only basic friend management; more granular mute/block options depend on your platform.

  • In-game basics:
    • You can remove or ignore friend requests from the Friends menu if you don’t want to connect with someone.
  • Platform-level controls:
    • On PS5, you can mute, block, or report players at the system level via Game Base and party/chat menus; blocking stops messages and party invites from that player.
    • On PC (Steam/launcher) and mobile, you can similarly block or mute users through platform friends/voice/chat tools, even if Endfield’s own block list is limited.

If someone is harassing you via voice chat or platform messages, use platform block/report first, since that’s currently more robust than in-game tools.

Practical Tips for a Better Social Experience

  • Add only people you trust or communities you recognize (Discord servers, subreddit megathreads).
  • Check the Friend Request tab regularly so you don’t hit limits on pending requests.
  • If you ever feel uncomfortable with a player, remove them from your friends list and block at the platform level so they can’t follow you via chat or parties.

Used this way, Endfield’s social tools give you enough to connect with friends and community players while relying on Discord/Reddit and platform-level block/mute to handle the heavier social side.
